Ira reviewed why the Hidden Pivot pattern works and how to use it in real trading. He paid particular attention on seeing how and when a reversal of a move may stop and then continue in the original direction.

This session offers a concise summary of the simple rules governing ‘mechanical’ trades. We focused on mechanical set-ups in several popular trading vehicles, paying particular attention to the quality of impulse legs associated with each. However, it is a stock in which we passed up a seemingly appealing mechanical entry opportunity where you will find some of the most insightful material on the subject.

We spent most of the hour looking for subtle trading opportunities in the E-Mini S&Ps in many different time frames. Camouflage, counterinituitive, conventional and un-conventional entries are all on display in this recording to further your knowledge of Hidden Pivotry’s most useful entry tactics. There are even a few instances of entries using ‘timed’ buy- and sell-stops that are among the best we've come across in months.

I got cold feet in AMZN the other day when I canceled a promising ‘mechanical’ trade I’d drum-rolled a week earlier. Naturally, I bailed out just moments before the stock took off like a missile. In this presentation, I explain precisely where and how I went wrong. Pay close attention to the nuances and, at the end of the hour, I can promise that you will know nearly everything you will ever need to know about ‘mechanical’ trades: why they work; what characteristics define perfection; and how to manage risk, from start to finish.

With 20-20 hindsight, Rick looks at option trades in VXX and DIA as though we’d done them with perfect timing. The hypothetical results are going to surprise you, but they will also leave you better prepared to distinguish good opportunities from bad the next time you are thinking about jumping on puts or calls. Turns out it’s not enough to merely double your money; you’ll have to do much better to succeed at the game. In this lesson, you will learn a couple of tricks that can help.

We watched a $5000 trade – two of them that totaled $5000, actually – unfold in AMZN during this session, getting a step ahead of signals that would have gotten us short initially, then long pennies off a minor low. It would have taken a huge sum of cash to do this scalp-trade, but that is not the point. The patterns we identified that set up the trades can be found in stocks of all prices – even $20 stocks or penny stocks. If you can find them in AMZN, you can find them elsewhere for a small fraction of the killer-stock price.

During this class he reiterated the simple rules governing mechanical and counterintuitive trades. These two tactics, along with ‘camouflage’ set-ups, are all a student needs to know in order to profit consistently. In the meantime, the best thing one can do to move steeply up the learning curve is to review the recordings of previous Wednesday tutorial sessions conducted by Rick. You should start with the most recent and work backward in time. There are dozens of them that emphasize ‘mechanical,’ ‘counterintuitive’ and ‘camouflage’ trades in explicit detail. Watch just five or six of them and you will start to develop the ‘Hidden Pivot ‘chops’ needed to trade with confidence.
